PHUZE in MURANO, Tacoma WA.

It was a plesure to be the face of Hotel Murano in Tacoma, Washington.

For me PHUZE on the Blogs

If you search Orfeo Quagliata on the Net, or PHUZE, a lot of websearch hits will appear, so I decide to post a couple of them.

PHUZE Blog Launch :: design spot '08::

PHUZE is a crystal company and glass work with a great evolution of a lifetime with the material, founded by me, Orfeo Quagliata.

Having grown up in my fathers studio during the formative years of the glass craft movement of the united states, I was exposed to all the techniques and styles in the medium.

I began working with my father at the age of 12 creating his stained glass pieces, blowing glass in Spain at the age of 17. At the same time working for the catolonian glass artist Josef Fernandez Castrillo, learning the “cold working” process of engraving and forming solid glass shapes. At the age of 21 I started fusing glass and at 28 moved to Mexico designing for the crystal company Nouvel studio and subsequently starting PHUZE where we employ all the know glass working techniques.

This blog is attempted to communicate all the news and achievements generated by PHUZE Team. I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy to do it.
